Hadley Laura Mueller-Hill

UGA Arch
PhD Student

I am an incoming Ph.D. student in Anthropology at the University of Georgia, where I will be working with Dr. Salmi in her Primate Behavioral Ecology Lab. I have a background in animal biology and behavioral research, with an M.S. in Integrative Biology from Kennesaw State University and a B.S. in Biology from Georgia Tech. My research interests focus on social behavior in nonhuman animals, particularly highly social mammals like western lowland gorillas. I have conducted research at institutions including Zoo Atlanta, where I studied flamingo breeding phenology and space use in naked mole-rats, and Georgia State University, where I investigated economic decision-making in capuchin monkeys. As a member of Dr. Salmi's lab, I hope to integrate behavior and genetics of nonhuman primates to better understand the biological mechanisms underlying individual variation in primate social behavior.
