Congratulations to PhD student, Suneel Kumar, on being awarded a Dissertation Fieldwork Grant by The Wenner-Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research! Suneel's grant will support ethnographic, spatial and archival research to understand how the physicality of the Indus Delta in Pakistan has changed due to upstream infrastructures and saltwater intrusion, and how these changes have in turn shaped human and other-than-human practices and relations in the Delta. With theoretical grounding in new materialism and environmental flows, Suneel hopes to "re-think" deltas and their governance through an integrative study of the relations among material forces and human and other-than-human beings.
