The McNeil Center for Early American Studies (MCEAS) at the University of Pennsylvania has awarded PhD candidate, Megan Conger, a 2020-2021 Friends of the MCEAS Dissertation Fellowship. The MCEAS offers one semester to nine months of support to doctoral candidates whose research deals with the histories and cultures of North America in the Atlantic world before 1850. Megan is a research assistant on the Dating Iroquoia project, and her dissertation research uses AMS radiocarbon dating and Bayesian chronological modeling to investigate trade, value, and world-system expansion in southern Ontario, Canada ca.
