Long-term project in Sri Lanka with Co-Director Dr. Salmi

A few notes from the field:

This week, we had a workshop with 56 students from the Lenawa Primary School (Grades 1–5, ages 5–10), Dambulla, Sri Lanka.

The children enjoyed a nature walk in Kaludiyapokuna forest (where our primate groups live), learned about tree species and animals, and took part in discussions on forest ecosystems, camera traps, and animal vocalizations. To wrap up the day, we organized a short video screening at camp, which included camera trap footage captured from the forest.
