exhibit entrance
Last week, the International Organizing Team for the First Kings of Europe exhibition, co-curated by Attila Gyucha, received the 2023 European Archaeological Heritage Prize Honorable Mention Award at the annual conference of the European Association of Archaeologists in Belfast.
The exhibition is the outcome of a 7-year, exemplary cooperation of 26 museums, 12 countries, and over 200 scientists, specialists, and museum staff to showcase the prehistoric archaeological heritage of the entirety of Southeast Europe for the very first time. First Kings of Europe will run at the Field Museum in Chicago until January 2024 and then will open at the Canadian Museum of History in Ottawa in April 2024.
