David Hecht, PhD Candidate in Integrative Conservation & Anthropology, recently received a Firebird Foundation Fellowship for a joint traditional knowledge documentation project entitled “Protective Deities, Protected Beings: Mapping Traditional Ecological Knowledge of Deity Citadels in Bhutan”. The Firebird Foundation for Anthropological Research works at the intersection of environment, culture, and language in service of indigenous peoples and local communities in their efforts to record their arts and sciences.
