Wednesday, February 12 2025, 1 - 2pm Laboratory of Archaeology (1125 Whitehall Rd Athens, GA 30602) Lab of Archaeology Lecture Series Our speaker will be Bronwyn Matlick, and they will be presenting the results of their ceramic analysis research. Bronwyn's study centers around understanding changes in vessel technology at the Sapelo Shell Ring Complex, which has some of the earliest pottery on the Georgia coast. Bronwyn will discuss the onset of early ceramic technology at these shell rings and how local artisans modified these vessels to adapt to greater environmental shifts on the Georgia coast.
