Laboratory Manager, Laboratory of Archaeology

As the Laboratory Manager at the UGA Laboratory of Archaeology responsible for curation and public outreach, Kristine Schenk works to preserve archaeological collections from across the world. As a museum professional, this position allows her to combine her love for collections with finding ways to make them accessible to the public. Before joining the Laboratory, Kristine worked at the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame and the Robert J. Dole Archive and Special Collections.

Prior to graduating with her Master's degree, she interned and worked at a variety of institutions including Fossil Butte National Monument, the New Hampshire Farm Museum, Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, the Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm Historic Site, Lenexa Historical Society, and Sand Creek Massacre Claims Committee.
